Formula & Mathematics

Simple Interest Formula
SI = (P × R × T) / 100

Where P = Principal, R = Annual Interest Rate (%), and T = Time period in years.

Worked Example

₹50,000 at 7% for 3 Years

Depositing ₹50,000 at 7% per annum for 3 years without compounding.

SI = (50,000 × 7 × 3) / 100 = ₹10,500
Total Amount = ₹50,000 + ₹10,500 = ₹60,500
Interest earned is ₹10,500, yielding a total of ₹60,500.
